Purchase Terms
These Purchase Terms cover paid subscriptions and one-time purchases inside the TallyScout dev iOS app. They are referenced by §5 of our Terms of Service and form part of the agreement between you and us. Last updated: 16 June 2026.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price each period until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime in your App Store account settings — at least 24 hours before the next renewal.
- Prices may change with prior notice.
- Billing is handled by Apple; refunds go through Apple's process.
1. What you can buy
TallyScout dev offers a free tier plus three paid options:
| Plan | Type | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| Pro Monthly | Auto-renewing subscription | Each month, until cancelled |
| Pro Yearly | Auto-renewing subscription | Each year, until cancelled |
| Pro Lifetime | One-time purchase | Does not renew |
The current price for each plan is shown inside the app on the subscribe screen, in your local currency, as supplied by the App Store. Features included in each Pro tier are listed in the app and can change over time — see §6 below.
2. Free trial
We may offer a free trial on the monthly subscription. Eligibility is determined by Apple per Apple ID and subscription group; if you have used a TallyScout dev trial before, you may not be eligible again.
A free trial converts automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
3. Auto-renewal
Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for that plan. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
To avoid the next renewal, turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling later in the billing period takes effect at the next renewal — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
4. Managing or cancelling your subscription
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple Account. On your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Select TallyScout dev and change plan, turn off renewal, or cancel.
You can also visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions from a browser. Removing the app from your device does not cancel an active subscription.
5. Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's published refund policy. You can submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can advocate on your behalf but cannot grant or deny refunds for purchases made through the App Store.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you retain any statutory rights you have under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and equivalent local law. By starting to use a paid feature you consent to immediate performance, which may waive the 14-day right to cancel for that period; cancelling future renewals is always available.
6. Price and feature changes
We may change subscription prices, the list of features included in each Pro tier, or retire plans. Where this affects an active subscription:
- Price increases are notified to you in advance through the App Store and/or by email; Apple may require you to opt in for the new price to take effect. If you do not consent, your subscription does not renew at the new price.
- Price decreases apply at the next renewal automatically.
- Feature changes within a tier (for example, raising or lowering the shopping-list count) take effect at the next renewal. We will not remove a Pro feature mid-billing period without offering a comparable replacement.
7. Restoring purchases
If you reinstall TallyScout dev or sign in on a new device, tap Restore purchases on the subscribe screen to recover an active subscription tied to your Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to validate App Store receipts — see our Privacy Policy for the data flow.
8. Family Sharing
TallyScout dev subscriptions are not currently shared via Apple Family Sharing. Each household member who wants Pro features needs their own subscription tied to their own TallyScout dev account.
9. Lifetime purchases
Pro Lifetime is a one-time, non-recurring purchase. It unlocks the Pro feature set for as long as the TallyScout dev service exists and the Apple ID that made the purchase remains in good standing with Apple. If the service is discontinued we will, where possible, give at least 30 days' notice and an export of your data.
10. Taxes
Prices shown in the App Store are inclusive of VAT or local equivalents where Apple collects them on our behalf. Tax handling, invoice generation, and the merchant of record for App Store purchases is Apple. For VAT receipts contact Apple directly.
11. Eligibility and account
You must meet the age and account requirements in the Terms of Service. Subscriptions are tied to the Apple ID that paid for them; TallyScout dev entitlements are linked to your TallyScout dev account. Account sharing is prohibited (see ToS §3).
12. Changes to these Purchase Terms
We may update these Purchase Terms from time to time. Material changes affecting existing subscribers will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The current version is always available at this URL.
